This policy explains which personal data KingdomKids collects, why, and what your rights are. By using the Service, you accept the practices described below.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Parent account: email address, name (if provided), password (stored securely / hashed).
• Child profiles: first name or nickname, age group, preferences and favourites.
• Service use: watch history, progress, quizzes, downloads, screen-time settings.
• Payment: order status and transaction IDs from Maketou. KingdomKids does not store full card numbers or Mobile Money PINs.
• Technical: connection logs, device type, IP address, cookies or equivalents needed to run the Service.

3. Purposes

• Create and manage your account and subscriptions
• Provide the catalogue and personalise the child experience
• Support parental controls (progress, time limits)
• Process payments and prevent fraud
• Provide customer support and keep the Service secure
• Improve the product (aggregated statistics, bug fixes)
• Send essential Service information (e.g. subscription confirmation). Marketing messages, if any, require your consent when the law requires it.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the case: performance of the contract (providing the subscription), legitimate interest (security, product improvement), legal obligation (accounting), and consent when required (non-essential cookies, marketing).

5. Recipients and processors

Your data is processed by KingdomKids and, where needed, by strictly necessary technical providers:

• Hosting and database (e.g. Supabase)
• Payments (Maketou and Mobile Money / banking operators)
• Transactional email infrastructure

KingdomKids does not sell your personal data to third parties. No behavioural advertising is shown to children through the Service.

6. Transfers and location

Data may be hosted in the European Union or with providers outside your country of residence. In that case, appropriate safeguards are used where applicable (contractual clauses, security measures).

7. Retention periods

• Account data: for as long as you use the Service, then archive / deletion within a reasonable time after closure, unless the law requires otherwise.
• Billing data: kept as required by applicable accounting rules.
• Technical logs: kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access control, password hashing). No system is perfect: please use a unique, strong password.

9. Children

KingdomKids is for families. The account is created and managed by a parent or guardian. Child profiles should not contain unnecessary sensitive information. Parents are responsible for supervising use.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability of your data, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights: support@kingdom-kids.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

11. Cookies

The site uses cookies or similar technologies needed for authentication, security and proper operation. Non-essential cookies, if introduced later, will be disclosed and consented to when required.

12. Changes

This policy may be updated. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page. For a substantial change, we may inform you through the Service or by email.
